About Vira Olevska
Vira Olevska is a Ukrainian visual artist whose work explores the human condition through layered symbolism, emotional storytelling, and bold, expressive imagery. Self-taught, with formal studies in illustration and motion design at Projector in Kyiv, she combines digital and traditional mediums to create powerful visual narratives rooted in personal experience.

Olevska’s art draws from a life shaped by constant movement — from Kyiv and Odesa to Dahab, Bali, and Tallinn. Her background as a freediving athlete and her reflections on war, motherhood, and recovery infuse her work with vulnerability and quiet strength. Inspired by Bosch, Hockney, Gauguin, and the playful surrealism of Adventure Time, she creates intricate compositions that are at once intimate and mythic.

Her artworks have been exhibited across multiple countries, and she is currently a resident artist at Nyaman Gallery in Bali. Olevska’s practice spans original paintings, limited-edition canvas prints, and art posters — all centered on one idea: to reflect what it means to be truly alive.
